FOUNDATIONS: pattern matching, unification, strategies, narrowing, termination, syntactic properties, type theory. FRAMEWORKS: term rewriting, conditional rewriting, graph rewriting, net rewriting, comparisons of different frameworks. IMPLEMENTATION: explicit substitution, rewriting tools, compilation techniques.
